Why can't I be given a collection time for my parcel?

 

We appreciate it's frustrating that most courier companies generally can't give you a narrower time slot for collection. This is because there is no way they can know what is going to happen en-route, be it a traffic jam, break down, customer issue, or other unforeseeable problems. If something does happen, you might be surprised to learn that the driver often has no way of contacting the customer. The problem exists not only in the courier service industry, but across all industries involved in shipping. However, we know that many courier firms are working on solutions to this problem.

Predicted collection times

With new technologies becoming available all the time, like satellite tracking on vehicles, we hope that more courier companies will start to offer predicted collection times in future, letting you know via email or text an estimated time when their driver will be at your door.

Because the software P4D uses is built in-house we can be responsive to such changes to their service and as soon as the technology is available to us, we'll update the information in our booking system and pass on the benefits straight to you.
