HDN is the delivery and logistics arm of the Shop Direct Group. This group has roots in a variety of home shopping and catalogue companies including Littlewoods, Great Universal Stores and the football pools, which were merged together to form one company. Since being re-branded as the Shop Direct Group they have become the biggest UK online retailer, replacing traditional catalogue shopping with online technology.

    This is a documents service for papers only. Your documents must weigh 1.5kg or less when packaged and be 40cm x 30cm x 5cm or smaller in size.

    Package your documents in a cardboard envelope, not paper, so they can withstand transportation within a large courier network (?). Measure the dimensions for your envelope in the same way as you would measure a parcel, using 1cm for anything less than 1cm in size.

    Two-Man Service

    The two-man service is not suitable for one-off bookings, but is a flexible and affordable service for any business regularly shipping bulky items that can't be shipped via a pallet service. Two Yodel XL couriers arrive to lift your items in to the van safely and securely, and upon delivery can assist with installation or other specialist requirements. Tailor-made to suit your needs it is suitable for delivery of white goods, brown goods, beds and mattresses, flat pack or rigid furniture, garden furniture, gym equipment and more.

    If you ship regularly, you'll always be looking for the most affordable shipping service you can find, but this doesn't mean it should be cheap: service is just as important, as is customer support when you need it. We offer a wide choice of courier networks with UK, European and international delivery for parcels, pallets, documents and freight.

    The more you ship, the more you'll save with cheaper rates for higher volumes, regular collection if you need it, plus integration for your online shop to streamline your delivery process. We have a strong customer service team on hand over the phone and by email out of hours. There are also designated contacts for business account holders to help keep all of your shipping activity under one roof.

    HDNL Courier

    HDN took over the B2B (business to business) and B2C (business to customer) parts of DHL's UK operations and re-branded itself as Yodel. Initially, the new brand had issues with alleged poor performance, but these were proven to be greatly exaggerated. HDN is the UK's largest home delivery service (dedicated) and delivers parcels of all shapes and sizes for more than one hundred companies as well as Shop Direct. They have around three and a half thousand drivers and deliver all over Great Britain, having expanded into Northern Ireland in 2006 to include every UK postcode.

    MyHDNL

    HDN have two main sorting hubs, one in the Midlands and one in the North West that handle over 300,000 parcels every day in warehouses that would hold two full sized football pitches. They deliver all kinds of parcels including over 100,000 flower bouquets on Valentine's Day and 90,000 cases of wine every week, keeping the UK in romance all year round.

    HDNL Tracking

    You can track your parcel with the tracking code on the website, giving you detailed information about the delivery status of your package at any time and you can also get a timed delivery. Select morning, afternoon or evening or the 'avoid the school run' option that delivers whilst your children are at school. If you miss your delivery for any reason the driver will leave a card letting you know that they have been and giving you information on how to arrange re-delivery or collect your parcel from a depot.
