P4D’s Kerrie Clifton is one of the best
employees in the UK!
P4D’s commitment to employing the most skilled and professional staff in the
online courier logistics industry has been highlighted after customer service
manager Kerrie Clifton was named as one the UK’s top-five most valued employees
in a prestigious national competition.
Kerrie has worked at P4D since the business was launched in 2005 and her award
success has come in Brother UK’s ‘Office Heroes’ competition.
Judged by a panel of young British entrepreneurs, Office Heroes aims to
officially recognise the most dedicated and hard working employees across the
UK’s small business community.
Kerrie was nominated by P4D Managing Director, Stephen Abel. He specifically
praised her dedication to his online courier logistics business and the
unwavering support she has provided during the last three years.
Kerrie beat off competition from 20 other finalists to be named in the final
top-five. Stephen said: “When I really needed Kerrie to help in the early days
of the business by working out of hours, she dropped her personal commitments
and I am extremely grateful to her.
“From her initial role as a data entry clerk, Kerrie now manages the entire
customer service function within my business with professionalism and
enthusiasm. I’m delighted she’s part of my team because she gives our customers
a level of service that I know they will not experience anywhere else.”
Phil Jones, Sales and Marketing Director, Brother UK, said: “Kerrie is a model
Office Hero – someone for whom nothing is too much trouble and who continually
goes beyond their daily duties. Behind every great business is someone just like
Kerrie and her contribution to P4D and British business as a whole deserves to
be recognised.”
Kerrie admitted she had no idea she had been entered into the Office Heroes
competition until she was called to a photo shoot held in London at the end of
January.
“It was a huge surprise because I didn’t have a clue that Stephen was entering
me into any kind of competition, but it certainly made me feel proud to know
that people recognise the job that I do at P4D.
“I really enjoy speaking to customers and helping them get the level of service
they expect and I’m only too pleased to give a bit more than is probably
expected. This is a huge honour for me and one that I won’t be forgetting for a
while.”
Kerrie’s award is P4D’s third competition success in nearly as many months. In
October Stephen Abel was named as one of the winners in the ‘Young Guns 2008’
awards – a competition that recognises the success of young entrepreneurs and
the businesses that they run. While in November, P4D was ‘highly commended’ by
The Right Honourable Margret Beckett MP, in the ‘innovation’ category at the
Thames Valley Business Magazine Awards.
