P4D Goes Green: OxTreeGen

P4D has chosen to work with OxTreeGen for our carbon offsetting campaign. We like their fresh approach to being Green - neither of us wish to force the idea down people's throats, but at the same time, we're aware there are environmental problems we contribute to and so why not do something about it?

Because P4D are software innovators, we're using technology to make it easy for our customers to join us on our journey. The idea began when we wondered how straightforward it would be to calculate the cost on the environment for individual shipments. Some clever mathematics from Chris and an intricate piece of coding later, he produced an accurate calculation. We were all surprised to realise that it need only cost a matter of pence to carbon offset your parcel delivery order, so we implemented our initiative to see what our customers thought of it and it turns out, they love it!

We update our fundraising totals every three months and work out how many trees we can plant with this money. We continue to tot up our overall tree totals since the initiative started in May 2011.
