How to perform a screen print

Screen prints are really useful when submitting cost invoices to support claims or trying to explain problems you may be experiencing with our site.

Follow the simple instructions below and view some examples we have created, it only takes a few seconds to create a screen print / snapshot.

Look closely on your keyboard, you will have one of the following, either a 'Print screen' Key which can be selected once or an 'fn' key with a 'prt sc' key which needs to selected simultaneously.

Display the information you want to take a screen shot of on your desktop (bit like arranging a photoshoot) then hit the 'Print screen' key. You can now either paste directly into an email by selecting 'ctrl & V' or you can paste into a Word document and send as an attachment.

Below are some examples where I have taken screen shots and optimised them in an image editing package (not necessary for you to do this, this is just so it fits on this web page)

  • Example 1. Basic snap shot of the entire desktop

  • Example 2. Snapshot of a Paypal invoice

A useful tool I am sure you will use more frequently from now on. I hope this information has been helpful.
