We raised £1,081.90
Great sports, Pete and Reggie from St John Ambulance, stopped by on their way past our headquarters in Banbury to collect the big charity cheque ... and had to revive our Superhero whilst they were on site! See the photos (no Superheroes were harmed in the taking of these pictures).
Every year in the UK 150,000 people die in situations where first aid could have been the difference - the difference between life and death. St John Ambulance aims to reduce to this number and ensure as many people as possible have access to the emergency care they may need one day.
St John Ambulance is the country's leading first aid charity. They believe that no one should suffer from the lack of trained first aiders; everyone should be able to receive first aid from those around them.
First Aid training
St John Ambulance provides trained first aiders at many different public events throughout the year. They also provide trained community first responders who work in partnership with the Great Western Ambulance Service to provide emergency care in their own local area. St John Ambulance offers youth membership programmes for children and young people from 5–18 years, where they learn fundamental life skills. They also work every day of every year training people to be the difference between lives lost and lives saved.
