Germany is part of the EU, so sending a parcel to Germany from within Europe can prove more cost effective. There are many reasonable rates too for countries outside the EU and these can be compared online between various German parcel delivery companies. For individuals and businesses alike it is easy to find cheap parcel prices on the internet for parcel delivery to Germany.

There are some rules to abide by when labelling your parcel for dispatch to Germany. Ignoring these could be costly and result in your parcel being returned and could cause you significant delays in your goods reaching their destination, particularly if you needed a next day courier.

To send a parcel to Germany they should be addressed using a five digit postcode, four digit postcodes are no longer used so you should ensure you have the most up to date contact details when planning international parcel delivery. Postcodes should be written before the town name and the number of the property should be placed after the street name.

Taking care to ensure you address your parcel correctly and in line with the German parcel courier requirements will save you any problems further down the line.
