The dates you need to know to make sure your parcels and pallets are delivered in time for Christmas.
This is the busiest time of year for all courier networks, but every one of them wants to deliver your goods on time. Follow our advice and give them plenty of notice for collection and delivery.
Not only are courier networks overloaded with a much larger number of parcels than they would normally process, bad weather and more traffic on the roads makes their job even harder at Christmas time.
UK Parcel Delivery:
We advise you arrange express delivery for collection no later than Wednesday 19th December 2018.
Without a delay, here are examples of the service you can hope to receive, but no courier service is guaranteed:
- Collect Wed 19 Dec - Deliver Thu 20 Dec on 24hr service
- Collect Wed 19 Dec - Deliver Fri 21 Dec on 48hr service
- Collect Thu 20 Dec – Deliver Fri 21 Dec on 24hr service
We would not advise shipping on the Friday 21st for 24hr delivery due to the network volumes pre-Christmas & potential weather delays.
UK Pallet Delivery:
The last date for UK pallet delivery is Thurs 20th Dec with delivery on Friday 21st Dec. (allow further days for Remotes & Scotland) on an express service.
Pallet deliveries will be limited during Christmas and New Year with bookings on-line taken for the period though collection days will be 27,28, 31 December and then again on the 2 of January with deliveries being made on the same days.
International Parcel Delivery:
Transit times for international delivery is dependent on the destination you are shipping to.
Some economy services can take up to 5 days off-peak, so during peak season we recommend you allow 10 days for delivery. If you can, ship goods as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
For EU services, we recommend posting no later than 17 Dec.
For Non EU services, we recommend posting no later than 13 Dec.
Local Banbury service:
For local customers using our Banbury service, you can drop off parcels at our office on the High Street up until Fri 21 Dec, but there is no guarantee UK parcels will be delivered in time for Christmas. Please see the above dates for our recommendations.
Please note, the office will be closed on 25 and 26 December and also 1 January.
